Course Guide : Front nine
Hole 1 (531yards Par 5): is a wide, splendid downhill hole where you feel comfortable swinging without any worries. Long hitters may, however, be challenged by ponds at their teeing shots and second shots. Hole 2 (401yards Par 4): is a medium length, dogleg left hole, and the pond on the right side of the hole may make you nervous at the teeing ground. The green is hidden from the left side of the fairway and has so much undulation, so an accurate approach shot is required. Hole 3 (429yards Par 4): is a moderate uphill hole whose grass sand traps and pot sand traps make you think as if they are links. This hole lets you tee off easily, but the pot sand traps just before the green make it harder to estimate the distance to the green at your approach shot. The green is two tiered sideway.
Hole 4 (411yards Par 4): is a beautiful hole with a group of sand traps on the right side of it. Slicers could have a tough time on this hole. The green inclines from right to left, so it is best approached from the left side of it. Hole 5 (374yards Par 4): looks short, wide and easy, but because of the bench cuts on the fairway and sand traps surrounding the green, your approach shot needs accuracy. The green has a subtle undulation so failure to read the green precisely may lead you to the 3rd or 4th putt. Hole 6 (212yards Par 3): looks like a short, easy downhill hole but has sand traps that guard the right side of its green from the front, the side and the back so catching one of them may leave a difficult approach shot to the flag. Also this hole has a stream of air blowing toward the ocean so an inaccurate estimation of air strength may lead to a couple of more strokes.
Hole 7 (361yards Par 4): is a beautiful hole which has adopted waters throughout the hole; ponds in front of the teeing ground and the green which are connected by a creek. The fairway is fairly grand but has a slope on the right side of the hole so your aim may be limited. Hole 8 (184yards, Par 3): has an elevated green which may make it difficult to estimate the distance to the flag. Because the wind whirls at the left side of the fairway and at the deep end of the green, selecting your right club is best for this shot. Hole 9 (515yards Par 5): is a long, uphill hole which has a large grass bunker at the second shot point so it is essential to avoid it in order to secure your approach shot position. It is almost a miracle if you place the ball near the pin from the deep pot bunkers. The combination of your club selection and the secure line for the next stroke is the key to your score success.
